Feller Heating’s longest-serving employee, Mike Campbell, will be officially retiring on Tuesday, July 31st.
Mike has been with Feller Heating for over 37 years! Mike is such a huge part of who we are and will be greatly missed.
He started his career with Delta Sheet Metal in 1974. In 1977 Mike moved to Bellingham and went to work for Sturtz Plumbing and Heating. In 1981 Ed Feller, of Feller Heating, asked Sturtz Plumbing if he could “borrow” Mike for a 2 week period to help with an increased load. Sturtz agreed and Mike came to work for Feller Heating for a little longer than expected…about 37 years longer!
Mike’s skill set and leadership qualities quickly took him into the lead foreman role for Feller and he has held that position ever since. Mike is known in our office for singing every time he walks in the door— literally. It’s just part of his DNA. He is upbeat, super outgoing and rarely can go to a job site, meet with a supplier, or even walk down the street without running into someone he knows. It seems like everyone knows Mike Campbell.
So how will the now 62 year old be spending his retirement? Well, with his 2 grandchildren as much as possible, fishing, fishing, and more fishing, followed by some crabbing & hiking. He will also be building a 16 ft. cedar strip prospector canoe ( roughly a 500+ hr project). And why not? He now has all the time in the world to do whatever he wants. Mike’s Wife Gina may be joining him in retirement within a year or so which will open a whole new world of activities to pursue together.
Thank you Mike for who you are and what you have brought to Feller Heating and A/C for over 37 Years. You have left a huge imprint on our company, customers and community. We wish you good health and good fishing in the years ahead.
