Basement Infloor | HVAC | Bellingham | Feller HeatingHydronic infloor heating is the most popular form of radiant heat, mainly because it has been around the longest. Hydronic heating was actually first used by the Romans centuries ago.

Though the technology has changed dramatically over the centuries,  the principle behind hydronic radiant floor heating is much the same. Water is heated in a boiler, and pumped through your house in a series of tubes underneath the floor, which allows the heat to radiate upwards from the floor into the room. This provides the even, consistent, quiet heat that radiant heating systems are known for.

At Feller Heating we stay current with the latest design and control methods for radiant floor heating systems. Our infloor tubing designs are kept at 6″ centers throughout most of the installation. We have found this to be a major advantage to eliminating cold spots that often occur with other design methods. Many of our competitor’s still use 9″ to 12″ centers for their infloor designs. The cost for our method is a little more, but worth it when you consider that once it is installed it becomes a permanent fixture in your home. Why not do it right the first time and enjoy all the benefits it has to offer?
